Our semi annual general conference slew of hikes.

Please note the beautiful family portrait taken by moi. Every time someone else tries to do this it doesn't work. I definitely call in bragging rights.
The other hike we took during conference breaks was actually a walk along the provo river, and we forgot a camera. It was a rare grey, wet day, and we all loved it.

A beautiful hike with cousins

Last weekend we went on a hike with the Harmers. The fall leaves were in their element,
and when we reached the top of the cliff not only did we have a view of the valley, but of the orange and red blanket below. We all took turns carrying younger hikers, and it was really fun. Christian was fascinated by the running water he could barely see in the gorge below us, and we stopped about every two steps to make sure it was still there. At the very top some of the boys went a little higher up the trail and saw a rattlesnake. Of course I didn't see it, because I never see any of that cool stuff. Just goes to show we are in Utah.

House Update

Tonight we start demo. The dumpster has arrived, fall break has come, and the crowbars are being gathered.
Meanwhile Atticus recovers from being sick, I take the psat, Elias is president of the activities committee at school, and Satchel joins the 7th graders for math every day. Life rolls on.

Hike up Battle Creek Canyon

Last weekends hike. I really like this camera because it makes all the pictures I take look good.

Cedar City

Thursday and Friday I went down to Cedar City with my cross country team. On the way down we ran Brian head, and the morning before our race we ran razor back ridge. It was tons of fun despite the late nights, or maybe because of the late nights, and the injuries I sustained from tripping on a rock along the Brian head trail. I included a picture of my most beautiful one for everyones enjoyment. During the race the aforementioned injury was really sore, and I thought I was running rather slow, but I beat my personal record by a minute, so it turned out okay. If I can get the pictures from my coach I might have another visual representation of this trip besides a black and blue bruise, because I forgot a camera.

Timpanogos Storytelling Festival

Labor Day weekend we joined the throngs of people flocking to the Storytelling festival.
We bought a weekend pass, and went to almost everything. We had so much fun, and laughed
a ton. We also went to the laugh night at the Scera shell with about 20,000 other people
and ate some pizza before listening to stories explaining how the dog and the cat came to earth,
how to survive in the desert on tuna, and singing along with another one of Bill Harley's amazing songs.
