DADS BIRTHDAY HIKE

We went on a hike up to a lake called Canadice.The weather report before we left called for lots of rain, but we went anyway
because we got rained out last year, and dad always goes on a hike on his birthday
so we were definitly going to go. As luck would have it, it only sprinkled at the very
beginning, and we walked 3 miles round trip nice and dry. We had a ton of fun.
However, some of the photos need a little bit of explaining.

Is there a better way to enjoy spring than to bike ride to the park... and have a picnic?

conference weekend

In between sessions of conference we jumped on the trampoline.
It was mostly fun, when somebody hadn't bonked a body part and
wasn't howling for all the neighborhood to hear.
We also did Sunday night dishes/cleanup, which is where everyone
does dishes together.

lovely spring days

We are loving spring out here, the weather kept trying to fake us out, but it finally stopped snowing every other day, and now our flowers are starting to bud. Here are some pictures from the other night, where we were enjoying the weather to much.
We didn't eat dinner until around eight o'clock!

Atticus' birthday celebrations

On Saturday we had Atticus' birthday party. It was so much fun. We took all the kids sledding in our backyard, but the snow was so slippery we had to stand as guards to keep kids from sledding right into the creek. We had some close calls. One little kid was about two inches away and dad had to go get her. They were having so much fun we did this for about a hour and a half! We came in and they had hot cocoa, of course with a few spills, opened presents, at cupcakes and had root beer floats.
Atticus had realllllllly wanted to have root beer floats, so the poor parents of kids who had to much sugar in their systems.
Then on Sunday we had our family celebration with cake and presents. He had a great time

my birthday

Here are some pictures of my birthday. I know this is late in coming, but I have been busy.
I had a great day, and Dad, Elias and I went to the bike shop! I didn't think I needed a new one,
but dad was unmoving. I slowly realized that I really actually did need a new one. Thursday night
we went to a contra dance. It was sooooo much fun and we met some of our friends there and just
had a blast. The last time we went there weren't as many hard dances, but this time there were two
that were complicated, and it was good thing the people are so patient.
