Yesterday was our first birthday in the season. Satchel turned ten!
The much awaited day finally arrived, and after much thought (much, much, much thought!)
Satchel decided that he would like to go to the Strong Children's Museum. So off we went, to the world of fairy tales, miniature grocery stores, dance studio's, and old video games that mom used to play. Froggy? Pacman? Aliens?
At home again, we went into hyper-drive so that we could finish all festivities before yw/meetings/ym/cub scouts started.
We started the present opening process, and after some jumping around, an overly excited child had to take a bathroom break.
When we finally finished Satchel had received some cartoon making software, shirts and socks, legos, bionicles, and some earbuds. The cake was chocolate and vanilla swirled, with fresh strawberries, chocolate frosting, and ice cream. He blew out all ten candles on one try. All the fuss was sure worth it.
