Well, we have had a case of over protective boys*. They are way to young to be concerned over their right from the press to allow (or not allow) their pictures to be put up for show. They have demanded that all photo's that have even the back of their heads in them, be shown to them for permission before put on this blog. If the unspeakable should occur (that is the back of their head being on this blog) without consensus from themselves, the terrible payback shall occur. That is, the awful deer in the headlights** picture of myself, will be posted on facebook. Sigh. Any comments begging their majesties to be more laid back about their pictures, would be helpful and appreciated. The rather irritated subject in a kingdom of proud rulers waits...***
*Not Satchel

Robot Challenge
Elias, Satchel, and I were all officially in the Lego League challenge this year. Atticus was pretty much part of it, just not officially.
Robot League means that over the course of a couple of months, individual teams build robots, and program them to complete tasks. Certain tasks are worth certain points. Our team name was Flaming Rain, and since our robot didn't explode on site, we were pretty happy. Plus, it came in second, in one of the challenge rounds we completed. Poor Satchel was sick when the day finally came. It was really sad. But he was there for the final part. He wants me to explain that that is why he isn't in any of these pictures. However, I am including one of him at a practice, so hopefully he will feel better about that.

Satchels birthday
Yesterday was our first birthday in the season. Satchel turned ten!
The much awaited day finally arrived, and after much thought (much, much, much thought!)
Satchel decided that he would like to go to the Strong Children's Museum. So off we went, to the world of fairy tales, miniature grocery stores, dance studio's, and old video games that mom used to play. Froggy? Pacman? Aliens?
At home again, we went into hyper-drive so that we could finish all festivities before yw/meetings/ym/cub scouts started.
We started the present opening process, and after some jumping around, an overly excited child had to take a bathroom break.
When we finally finished Satchel had received some cartoon making software, shirts and socks, legos, bionicles, and some earbuds. The cake was chocolate and vanilla swirled, with fresh strawberries, chocolate frosting, and ice cream. He blew out all ten candles on one try. All the fuss was sure worth it.
